Transfer your domain name from WordPress.com to Skystra
⚠️ Before starting a domain transfer, make sure:
1. The domain is active and not expired
2. The domain is older than 60 days
3. The domain had no registrar transfers in the last 60 days
- To transfer regular domain extensions, use the steps under Instructions (all domains)
- To transfer *uk based domain extensions, use the steps under Instructions (*uk domains only)
Instructions (all domains)
1. Log in to your WordPress.com user portal
2. Go to Upgrades and then Domains
3. Find your domain and click on the Transfer button
4. Under the Transfer to another registrar section, toggle off the Transfer lock
5. Click the Get authorization code button
6. Check your email account for the auth code, make sure to check spam and junk folders just in case
7. Log in to your Skystra user portal
8. Click on Domains from the menu
9. Click the Add New button
10. Click on the Transfer Domain tab
11. Type your domain name into the search field and select its extension from the dropdown
12. Click the Search button
13. Click the Add to Cart button
14. Paste your auth code into the EPP Code / Auth Code field
15. Click the Add to Cart button
16. Paste your auth code into the EPP Code / Auth Code field
17. Click on the Add to Cart button for ID Protection (highly recommended to keep you safe from spam and fraud)
18. Click the Checkout button
19. WordPress.com will take approximately 7 days to release your domain name. Once released, you will receive a confirmation email from our team and you will see your domain name listed on your Skystra user portal.
Instructions (*uk domains only)
1. Log in to your WordPress.com user portal
2. Go to Upgrades and then Domains
3. Find your domain and click on the Transfer button
4. Under the Transfer to another registrar section, toggle off the Transfer lock
5. Click the Update Settings and Continue
6. Find the Change IPS tag section and change your domain tag to:
NETEARTHONE
7. Log in to your Skystra user portal
8. Click on Domains from the menu
9. Click the Add New button
10. Click on the Transfer Domain tab
11. Type your domain name into the search field and select its extension from the dropdown
12. Click the Search button
13. Click the Add to Cart button
14. Click the Checkout button
15. WordPress.com will release your domain name within a few hours. Once released, you will receive a confirmation email from our team and you will see your domain name listed on your Skystra user portal.
