Transfer your domain name to Skystra

⚠️ Before starting a domain transfer, make sure:
1. The domain is active and not expired
2. The domain is older than 60 days
3. The domain had no registrar transfers in the last 60 days

The process to transfer your domain name to your Skystra account varies by the domain registrar, however, the steps follow the general order provided below.

  • To transfer regular domain extensions, use the steps under Instructions (all domains)
  • To transfer *uk based domain extensions, use the steps under Instructions (*uk domains only)

Instructions (all domains)

1. Log in to your customer portal at your current domain registrar provider
2. Find your domain name and its management panel
3. Find the Domain Lock section and unlock your domain
4. Find the Domain Privacy section and turn privacy off
5. Find the Transfer to Another Registrar section and reveal or request the Authorization Code / EPP Code (domain transfer code) – when you obtain your auth code, note it down
6. Log in to your Skystra user portal
7. Click on Domains from the menu
8. Click the Add New button

9. Click on the Transfer Domain tab

10. Type your domain name into the search field and select its extension from the dropdown

11. Click the Search button

12. Click the Add to Cart button

13. Paste your auth code / EPP code into the EPP Code field

14. Click on the Add to Cart button for ID Protection (highly recommended to keep you safe from spam and fraud)

15. Click the Checkout button

16. Your old domain registrar will take approximately 7 days to release your domain name. Once released, you will receive a confirmation email from our team and you will see your domain name listed on your Skystra user portal.

Instructions (*uk domains only)

1. Log in to your customer portal at your current domain registrar provider
2. Find your domain name and its management panel
3. Find the Domain Lock section and unlock your domain
4. Find the Transfer to Another Registrar section
5. Find the Change IPS tag section and change your domain name tag to:

6. Log in to your Skystra user portal
7. Click on Domains from the menu
8. Click the Add New button

9. Click on the Transfer Domain tab

10. Type your domain name into the search field and select its extension from the dropdown


11. Click the Search button

12. Click the Add to Cart button

13. Click the Checkout button

14. Your old domain registrar will release your domain name within a few hours. Once released, you will receive a confirmation email from our team and you will see your domain name listed on your Skystra user portal.
