Transfer your domain name from GoDaddy to Skystra

⚠️ Before starting a domain transfer, make sure:
1. The domain is active and not expired
2. The domain is older than 60 days
3. The domain had no registrar transfers in the last 60 days

  • To transfer regular domain extensions, use the steps under Instructions (all domains)
  • To transfer *uk based domain extensions, use the steps under Instructions (*uk domains only)

Instructions (all domains)

1. Log in to your GoDaddy domain portal
2. Select the specific domain you’ll be transferring
3. Find the Domain Lock section and unlock your domain
4. Find the Domain Privacy section and turn it OFF
5. Click on Transfer to Another Registrar
6. Select Click here to see Authorization Code and select Copy to Clipboard to copy your authorization code. Take note of your Authorization Code on a secure note, GoDaddy should also send your Authorization Code to the administrative email address associated with your domain name.
7. Log in to your Skystra user portal
8. Click on Domains from the menu
9. Click the Add New button

10. Click on the Transfer Domain tab

11. Type your domain name into the search field and select its extension from the dropdown

12. Click the Add to Cart button

13. Paste your auth code into the EPP Code / Auth Code field

14. Click on the Add to Cart button for ID Protection (highly recommended to keep you safe from spam and fraud)

15. Click the Checkout button

16. Return to your GoDaddy domain portal
17. Find the Transfers section
18. Click on Transfers Out
19. Select your domain name and click Approve Transfer
20. If you approve the domain transfer from your GoDaddy account, it will be released within a few hours. If not, GoDaddy will automatically release the domain name in approximately 7 days. Once released, you will receive a confirmation email from our team and you will see your domain name listed on your Skystra user portal.

Instructions (*uk domains only)

1. Log in to your GoDaddy domain portal
2. Click on your domain name
3. Find the Domain Lock section and unlock your domain
4. Find the Domain Privacy section and turn it OFF
5. Click on Transfer to Another Registrar
6. Find the Change IPS tag section and change the IPS tag to:

7. Select Complete Transfer
8. Log in to your Skystra user portal
9. Click on Domains from the menu
10. Click the Add New button

11. Click on the Transfer Domain tab


12. Type your domain name into the search field and select its extension from the dropdown


13. Click the Search button

14. Click the Add to Cart button

15. Click the Checkout button

16. GoDaddy will release your domain name within a few hours. Once released, you will receive a confirmation email from our team and you will see your domain name listed on your Skystra user portal.
