Transfer your domain name from Porkbun to Skystra
⚠️ Before starting a domain transfer, make sure:
1. The domain is active and not expired
2. The domain is older than 60 days
3. The domain had no registrar transfers in the last 60 days
- To transfer regular domain extensions, use the steps under Instructions (all domains)
- To transfer *uk based domain extensions, use the steps under Instructions (*uk domains only)
Instructions (all domains)
1. Log in to your Porkbun customer portal
2. Click the green locked padlock icon to the right of your domain. You’ll be asked if you’re sure you want to unlock the domain. Say yes. After completion, verify the lock is off.
3. Find the Domain Privacy (WHOIS privacy) button and turn it off
4. From the domain management, click on the Details button and then click on Get Authorization Code – you will get a popup with your Auth Code, copy it down somewhere secure
5. Log in to your Skystra user portal
6. Click on Domains from the menu
7. Click the Add New button
8. Click on the Transfer Domain tab
9. Type your domain name into the search field and select its extension from the dropdown
10. Click the Search button
11. Click the Add to Cart button
12. Paste your auth code into the EPP Code / Auth Code field
13. Click on the Add to Cart button for ID Protection (highly recommended to keep you safe from spam and fraud)
14. Click the Checkout button
15. Return to your Porkbun user portal
16. Find the Transferred Out section
17. Click on the Approve Transfer Out button to confirm your domain name transfer away
18. If you approve the domain transfer from your Porkbun account, it will be released within a few hours. If not, Porkbun will automatically release the domain name in approximately 7 days. Once released, you will receive a confirmation email from our team and you will see your domain name listed on your Skystra user portal.
Instructions (*uk domains only)
1. Log in to your Porkbun user portal
2. Click the green locked padlock icon to the right of your domain. You’ll be asked if you’re sure you want to unlock the domain. Say yes. After completion, verify the lock is off.
3. Click on the Details button and then click on Registrar Transfer and find the Change IPS tag.
4. Change your domain IPS tag to:
NETEARTHONE
5. Log in to your Skystra user portal
6. Click on Domains from the menu
7. Click the Add New button
8. Click on the Transfer Domain tab
9. Type your domain name into the search field and select its extension from the dropdown
10. Click the Search button
11. Click the Add to Cart button
12. Click the Checkout button
13. Porkbun will release your domain name within a few hours. Once released, you will receive a confirmation email from our team and you will see your domain name listed on your Skystra user portal.
