Transfer your domain name from Bluehost to Skystra

⚠️ Before starting a domain transfer, make sure:
1. The domain is active and not expired
2. The domain is older than 60 days
3. The domain had no registrar transfers in the last 60 days

To transfer regular domain extensions, use the steps under Instructions (all domains)

To transfer *uk based domain extensions, use the steps under Instructions (*uk domains only)

Instructions (all domains)

1. Log in to your Bluehost customer portal
2. Click on Domains from the menu
3. Click on your domain name
4. Click the Domain Contacts section
5. Find the Private Registration⚠️ button and toggle it OFF

⚠️ Note: Bluehost recently updated its policy, restricting the ability to disable domain privacy on specific domain names. If you’re unable to find an option to disable domain privacy, leave it enabled and continue to the next steps.

6. Click the Transfer or Move Domain section
7. Find the Domain Locked button and toggle it OFF
8. Find the Request Auth Code button and click it to request the authorization (EPP) code
9. You will be taken to a page where you will need to check that you acknowledge transfer agreements, then, click the CONTINUE TRANSFER button. At this point, you will be provided with or emailed your authorization (EPP) code. Once you have your authorization (EPP) code, move to the next step.
10. Log in to your Skystra user portal
11. Click on Domains from the menu
12. Click the Add New button

13. Click on the Transfer Domain tab

14. Type your domain name into the search field and select its extension from the dropdown

15. Click the Search button

16. Click the Add to Cart button

17. Paste your EPP code into the EPP Code / Auth Code field

18. Click on the Add to Cart button for ID Protection (highly recommended to keep you safe from spam and fraud)

19. Click the Checkout button

20. Return to your Bluehost customer portal
21. Click on Domains from the menu, find your transferred domain name, and click on it
22. Click the Transfer or Move Domain section and click the Approve button to confirm your domain name transfer away. If you do not see an Approve button on your Bluehost customer portal, wait approximately 15 minutes and refresh your page.
23. If you approve the domain transfer from your Bluehost account, it will be released within a few hours. If not, Bluehost will automatically release the domain name in approximately 7 days. Once released, you will receive a confirmation email from our team and you will see your domain name listed on your Skystra user portal.

Instructions (*uk domains only)

1. Log in to your Bluehost customer portal
2. Click on Domains from the menu
3. Click the Transfer or Move Domain section
4. Find the Domain Locked button and toggle it OFF
5. Find the Release Domain or Change IPS Tag section
6. Change your domain name IPS tag to:

NETEARTHONE

7. Log in to your Skystra user portal
8. Click on Domains from the menu
9. Click the Add New button

10. Click on the Transfer Domain tab

11. Type your domain name into the search field and select its extension from the dropdown

12. Click the Search button

13. Click the Add to Cart button

14. Click the Checkout button

15. Bluehost will release your domain name within a few hours. Once released, you will receive a confirmation email from our team and you will see your domain name listed on your Skystra user portal.
