Register a new domain name at Skystra
⚠️ Note: We highly recommend you do not share and/or type your domain name in external domain search engines or forums until you have it registered, to avoid domain poachers from registering your domain name in advance.
You can register a new domain with various extensions directly through the Skystra user portal.
1. Log in to your Skystra user portal
2. Click on Domains from the main menu and then the + Add New button

3. Select the Register New Domain tab

4. Type your domain name into the search field and select the domain extension from the dropdown. Click the Search button.
- If your domain name is available, you will see an available message, meaning you can register it.

- If the domain is unavailable, you’ll see an unavailable message, meaning it’s already registered by someone else and cannot be registered by you.

5. Once you’ve decided on an available domain name, click the Add to Cart button to start the registration process

6. Click on the Add to Cart button for ID Protection* (highly recommended to keep you safe from spam and fraud)
*Note: Most domain extensions support ID protection, but some are restricted by authorities or have it enabled by default. If ID protection is available for your domain extension, you can order it.

7. Click the Checkout button to complete your new domain name registration

8. Add your new domain name to your Skystra hosting service to start managing it
