Transfer your domain name from Namecheap to Skystra

⚠️ Before starting a domain transfer, make sure:
1. The domain is active and not expired
2. The domain is older than 60 days
3. The domain had no registrar transfers in the last 60 days

• To transfer regular domain extensions, use the steps under Instructions (all domains)

• To transfer *uk based domain extensions, use the steps under Instructions (*uk domains only)

Instructions (all domains)

1. Log in to your Namecheap user portal
2. Click on Domain List from the menu
3. Find your domain name and click the Manage button
4. Go to the Sharing & Transfer tab
5. In the Transfer Out section, turn OFF the Domain Lock
6. Find the WHOIS Guard (WitheldforPrivacy) section and turn it OFF
7. Find and click the Auth Code button
8. On the Get Auth Code screen, click the Send Code button
9. Check your email account for the auth code, make sure to check spam and junk folders just in case
10. Log in to your Skystra user portal
11. Click on Domains from the menu
12. Click the Add New button

13. Click on the Transfer Domain tab

14. Type your domain name into the search field and select its extension from the dropdown

15. Click the Search button

16. Click the Add to Cart button

17. Paste your auth code into the EPP Code / Auth Code field

18. Click on the Add to Cart button for ID Protection (highly recommended to keep you safe from spam and fraud)

19. Click the Checkout button

20. NameCheap will take approximately 7 days to release your domain name. Once released, you will receive a confirmation email from our team and you will see your domain name listed on your Skystra user portal.

Instructions (*uk domains only)

1. Log in to your NameCheap user portal
2. Click on Domain List from the menu
3. Click Manage next to your domain
4. Go to the Sharing & Transfer tab
5. In the Transfer Out section, find the Domain Lock and click Unlock
6. Click Change
7. Complete the form and change the IPS tag to:

8. Click Save Changes
9. Log in to your Skystra user portal
10. Click on Domains from the menu
11. Click the Add New button

12. Click on the Transfer Domain tab

13. Type your domain name into the search field and select its extension from the dropdown

14. Click the Search button

15. Click the Add to Cart button

16. Click the Checkout button

17. NameCheap will release your domain name within a few hours. Once released, you will receive a confirmation email from our team and you will see your domain name listed on your Skystra user portal.
