Terms of Service

Our easy-to-understand and simple terms of service.

We’re an online web services platform and provide services to create websites and host data. We will develop more features and services in the future.

By signing up our service, you agree to all of the terms on this page.

If something goes really wrong, we’ll always make a best effort to do the right by you. As with any business, liability is limited to the cost of the service. Always make sure you have a full backup of your website, email and online services.

At any time we may stop providing you services. You also have the right to stop using your account or cancel your product or services at any time. This rarely happens, however as a business, we do have the right to choose who we provide services to, just like customers have the right to choose their service provider.

When you sign up or subscribe to our services, you’ll create an account using your proper individual and/or organization’s identity.

We allow many types of websites on our platform, however, the following ones are not allowed: Large Paid Adult Membership Websites, Casinos, Banking, Video Streaming, Online Financial Institutions, and Online Pharmacies. This list includes but is not limited to the types of websites listed.

We offer CPU and Memory on a best effort basis and we always strive to make available the resources your website requires when it needs it. Sometimes a website needs many more resources than a plan is allocated for, when that happens, we either ask you to upgrade to the right plan with allocated resources or leave our platform.

We view the terms “Unmetered” and “Unlimited” to be “Worry-Free”. If the resource that falls under this policy is used specifically for normal usage (i.e: website and email), that’s accepted. Usage such as backups, storage of files and photo galleries used as personal photo storage are not permitted. The files on your service are limited to the files required for your website and email. Traffic carries the same stipulations. Plans come with their own computing and memory resources. Traffic that falls outside of normal usage patterns is not permitted. Any usage deemed outside of normal usage patterns will not be allowed on our platform. Any resource usage that negatively impacts others on the same web services infrastructure will also not be permitted.

We always strive to meet 100% uptime for our services. In the event we don’t, we offer a minimum guarantee of 99.9% uptime in a calendar month. If we determine, at our sole discretion, that we failed to maintain this uptime guarantee, you may contact us and request a credit of 5% of your monthly hosting fee for that month. The credit may be used only for the purchase of hosting products and services from us, and is exclusive of any applicable taxes. The Uptime Guarantee does not apply to service interruptions caused by: Scheduled infrastructure maintenance or repair; Service interruptions caused by your own coding or application (such as plugins or themes); Any background service impact, which does not result in your website not appearing correctly; Certain causes we could not reasonably forecast.

Pricing on the website and subscriptions are subject to change. We reserve the right to change its prices at any time, however, changes to pricing will not apply until your next renewal or upon notice. We may offer you a free trial to allow you to try our service. We reserve the right to set eligibility requirements and the duration for free trials. At the end of your free trial, we will charge the relevant subscription fee for the next billing cycle to your primary payment method, unless you cancel your subscription prior to the end of the free trial. If we are unable to process payment(s) for any service subscriptions or domain registrations associated with renewing or keeping your products active, your products will expire and terminate. To avoid this, it is your responsibility to keep your primary payment method up to date through your client account.

Some of our services may come with a free trial. If you’re unhappy for any reason within your free trial period, you can request a cancellation. There are no refunds outside the free trial window. Upon renewal of any existing hosting subscription, there are no refunds, unless there are other conditions applicable to the account. There are costs associated with providing the service and after the free trial or service renewal, a full subscription and commitment period begins. For any new hosting service that does not include a free trial, there is a 30-day money-back guarantee period. Domain names, certain addons and configurable options are non-refundable.

Do not use our site or platform to harass, send spam, or do anything disturbing to other people. Always act responsibly and use reason in your actions. We aren’t here to judge, however common sense rules and judgement do apply.

You use the site and our services at your own risk. The site and its services are provided as advertised on the pages of the Skystra website. We’ve never had to use this clause before, however, as a business, this needs to be here.

Except otherwise stated by law, none of Skystra’s employees, contractors, affiliates, partners, directors, shareholders, or agents are liable for any loss, injury, claim, liability, or damage resulting from use of the Skystra site and services. We’ll always do the right thing and expect those who use our platform and services to do the same.
