How To Setup Email On Your iPhone (Outlook)

This article will explain how to set up your email address on Outlook on your iPhone.

Let’s start!

Add Account

Open Outlook and on the Add Account page, put in your email address and click the Add Account button: 

Email Details

Next, fill in the following details:

  • Password: Your email address password
  • Display Name: The email account owner’s name 
  • Description: Just a brief description so you can identify the account 

Advanced Settings

Once completed, toggle to enable Use Advanced Settings:

IMAP Incoming Mail Server Settings

Put in the following IMAP Incoming Mail Server details: 

  • IMAP Hostname: mail.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with the actual domain name). Leave the port number as is.
  • IMAP Username: Your email address
  • IMAP Password: Your email address password 

IMAP Outgoing Mail Server Settings

Put in the following SMTP Outgoing Mail Server details:

  • SMTP Hostname: yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with the actual domain name). Leave the port number s as is.
  • SMTP Username: Your email address
  • SMTP Password: Your email address password

Sign In

Once everything is filled in correctly, click the Sign In button at the bottom of the screen.

Privacy Settings

Then you’ll see Outlook’s privacy screen on the following step.

Click the Next button: 

Outlook will ask you if you want to share the diagnostic and usage data with Microsoft to improve the app experience and flush out bugs. Click Accept or Decline, depending on your preference:

Click the Continue to Outlook button next:

On the next screen, click the Maybe Later button if you don’t have any additional email accounts to set up on Outlook:

Notifications

Finally, Outlook will ask you if you want to enable notifications. We recommend enabling these, so you don’t miss out on important emails:

That’s it! Now your email account is properly set up on Outlook on your iPhone!
