Aug 14, 2020

If you need to add a new domain to your account, you can use the addon domain feature to host a new website under the same hosting service.

To create a new addon domain, log in to your cPanel control panel. Click here for instructions on how to get to cPanel.

Addon Domains

Once in cPanel, click on Addon Domains under the Domains section:

Create Addon Domain

Next, under the Create an Addon Domain section, you need to put in some details:

New Domain Name: Type your new domain name, for example,

Subdomain: Leave as is, the system will automatically fill the field in for you.  Make sure that the subdomain doesn’t match existing subdomains on your account. In our example, it’s mynewdomainname.

Document Root: This is where the files and folders for our new domain will live. Usually, we want our addon domains to live in the public_html directory so that they’re visible online, so in our example, it would be /public_html/

Once ready, click the Add Domain button to save changes.

If you want to remove an existing addon domain, click the Remove button under the Modify Addon Domain section:
