This article will explain how to set up email on Apple Mail on your iPhone.

Let’s start!

Access the Settings button on the home screen:

Tap the Mail button:

Tap the Accounts button and then Add Account:

From the list of email providers, select Other:

Tap the Add Mail Account button, and on the next screen, fill in the following details:

  • Name: Enter the email account owner’s name
  • Email: Enter the full email address
  • Password: Enter the email account password
  • Description: Just a brief description so you can identify the account

Here’s an example:

Tap Next to go to the next step.

Select IMAP and put in the following information –

Incoming Mail Server section:

  • Host Name: mail.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your domain name)
  • User Name: Your full email address
  • Password: Your email address password

For the Outgoing Mail Server section:

  • Host Name: mail.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your domain name)
  • User Name: Your full email address
  • Password: Your email address password

Tap Next to continue and then tap the Save button to save changes.

Once you’re redirected to the Accounts screen, go to your newly created email account on Apple Mail and tap your email address to configure a few more settings.

Scroll down and tap Advanced.

Put in the following settings:

  • Use SSL: set to On
  • Server Port: 993

Go back to the previous screen by tapping the Account button in the top left corner, and scroll down to the Outgoing Mail Server section and tap the mail server name. Tap the hostname again, which is listed under the Primary Server section.

Put in the following settings:

  • Use SSL: set to On
  • Server Port: 465

Tap the Done button to save the settings.

That’s it, your email is now setup on Apple Mail.
