When you register a domain name, you’re required to provide specific information, such as your name, contact information (including phone number, physical address, and email address), and sometimes even the name of your organization. This information forms the WHOIS record for your domain. It’s important because it designates who has ownership and administrative rights over the domain.
If you’d like to update your WHOIS information for your domain name, follow these steps.
Step 1: Log in to your Customer Portal
To begin, login to your customer portal.

Step 2: Navigate to the Domains Section
Once you’re logged in, you’ll be on the main dashboard. From here, look for the “Domains” section on the top menu.

Step 3: Choose the Domain
In the Domains section, you’ll see a list of all your domains. Find the domain for which you want to update the WHOIS information and click on the three dots on the right side, then click the Manage Domain option.

Step 4: Access WHOIS Information
On the domain management page, find and click on the “Contact Information” button. This button allows you to view and edit your current WHOIS information for the domain name.

Step 5: Update WHOIS Information
Now, you’ll be presented with various fields containing your existing WHOIS information. These fields are the registrant’s name, organization, address, phone number, and email address. Go through each field, making any necessary updates.

Step 6: Save Changes
Once you’ve updated all the necessary fields, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the “Save Changes” button. This will apply the changes you made to your WHOIS information.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully updated your domain registrant WHOIS information on WHMCS. Please note that it may take up to 24 hours for the changes to take effect.
