As per ICANN regulations, to transfer a domain, it must be:
→ An active and non-expired domain name
→ At minumum 61-days out from its first date of registration or last transfer initiation date
For regular domain name transfer types, use the steps under Instructions (all domains)
For uk based domain names only, use the steps under Instructions (uk domains only)
Instructions (all domains)
1. Log in to your Google Domains customer portal
2. Click on your domain and open the menu
3. Click on Registration settings
4. Locate the Domain Lock section and unlock your domain
5. Locate the Domain Privacy section and turn it off
6. Locate the Expires section, click the Get authorization code section and request the authorization code (i.e. domain transfer code) to reveal it, take note of it
7. Log in to your Skystra customer portal
8. Click on Domains from the menu
9. Click the Add New button
10. Click on Transfer Domain
11. Type your domain name into the field, select the extension from the dropdown and click the Search button
12. Click the Add to Cart button
13. Paste in your authorization code into the EPP Code / Auth Code field
14. Click on the Add to Cart button for ID Protection (highly recommended to keep you safe from spam and fraud)
15. Click the Checkout button
16. Once your domain name is submitted for transfer, you will receive a confirmation email when the transfer completes. Google Domains will take approximately 7 days* to release your domain name. Once you receive the confirmation email from us, you will see your domain name listed on your Skystra customer portal.
Instructions (uk domains only)
1. Log in to your Google Domains customer portal
2. Click on your domain and open the menu
3. Click on Registration settings
4. Under Transfer Out, click Choose registrar
5. Click Unlock and continue
6. In the Who are you transferring to? screen, enter the IPS tag: NETEARTHONE
7. To confirm the transfer, click Transfer > Yes, continue.
8. Log in to your Skystra customer portal
9. Click on Domains from the menu
10. Click the Add New button
11. Click on Transfer Domain
12. Type your domain name into the field, select the extension from the dropdown and click the Search button
13. Click the Add to Cart button
14. Click the Checkout button
15. Google Domains will release your domain name within a few minutes. Once released, you will receive a confirmation email from our team and you will see your domain name listed on your Skystra customer portal.
